Our Story.
Music and waste may seem like two completely different worlds, but for me, they’re surprisingly connected. Both are constants in our daily lives—whether we hear a song or manage our waste, they’re always there. This connection hit me in an unexpected way during a recent dinner with our Swedish electronic engineers in London. After chatting about chips (both the edible and electronic kind), firmware, and fish, we somehow landed on music. To my amazement, these engineers not only knew of the Australian band The Go-Betweens, but they could also recite their song titles and lyrics.
On my next stop in Canada, talking waste IoT, music popped up again—this time, the legendary Tragically Hip. Back in Australia, our offices are filled with both cleantech enthusiasts and music lovers. One of my colleagues is a DJ, and we work surrounded by vinyl. This shared passion inspired us to name our new gateway release the ‘GoBetween’. There may be more musical references to come.
In the end, we’re connected to the world through music and waste. Our goal? More of the former, less of the latter. We hope our waste solutions can help make that a reality.
Waste Issues.
Landfill Overload
Landfills are a common method of waste disposal in Australia. However, many landfills are reaching their capacity, leading to concerns about where to dispose of increasing amounts of waste.
Circular Economy Implementation
While there is growing awareness of the concept of a circular economy, where resources are reused and recycled, the full implementation of circular economy principles in waste management is still a work in progress.
